Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond The Fifth District Federal Reserve Bank contributes to the formulation of national monetary policy, gathers and analyzes regional economic data, and regulates financial institutions headquartered in the region. The Bank also processes currency, checks and electronic payments for banks, and provides financial services to the U.S. Treasury.
